iSpring Water Systems, LLC Case Settles for $14,000

Sacramento CA (10/15/2020) – iSpring Water Systems, LLC (iSpring) is a Cumming, Georgia, based company that manufactures plumbing fittings. iSpring sold or offered for sale kitchen and lavatory faucets in California, from July 2015 to June 2020.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that iSpring was manufacturing and offering for sale kitchen and lavatory faucets that did not meet the efficiency standard, failed the marking requirement, and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To settle this matter, iSpring executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on October 12, 2020, for $14,000.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). iSpring has also agreed to a compliance plan to discontinue sales of non-compliant models in California. For models iSpring intends to continue selling in California, they agree to add the appropriate marking and to test and certify all models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
