State of Colorado’s WQCD Reaches Agreement with Colorado Marine and Boatworks, Inc. to Resolve Water Quality Violations

Denver, CO (8/2/2018) – The State of Colorado’s Water Quality Control Division today announced a Compliance Order on Consent (“COC”) with Pueblo-based Colorado Marine and Boatworks, Inc. resolving water quality violations alleged in a Notice of Violation/Cease and Desist Order (“NOV/CDO”). The NOV/CDO, filed September 8, 2017, alleged that Colorado Marine and Boatworks, Inc. violated the Colorado Water Quality Control Act and its implementing regulations at its marina facility at Lake Pueblo State Park in Pueblo County, Colorado. Under the COC, Colorado Marine and Boatworks, Inc. will pay a $37,000.00 civil penalty, which will be distributed to the State of Colorado’s Water Quality Improvement Fund. Colorado Marine and Boatworks, Inc. completed all required corrective actions in the NOV/CDO and returned to compliance.
