Sacramento CA (4/2022) – Blossom Kitchen & Bath Corporation (Blossom) is a Maspeth, New York based company that manufactures plumbing fittings. Blossom sold or offered for sale lavatory and kitchen faucets in California, from July 2015 to November 2021.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Blossom was manufacturing and offering for sale lavatory and kitchen faucets that failed the marking requirement and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To settle this matter, Blossom executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on April 20, 2022, for $9,000.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). Blossom has also agreed to a compliance plan to add the appropriate marking and certify all models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
