State of Colorado’s WQCD Reaches Agreement with Edgemont Ranch Metropolitan District

Denver, CO (10/28/2021) – The State of Colorado’s Water Quality Control Division today announced a Compliance Order on Consent (“COC”) with the Edgemont Ranch Metropolitan District, resolving alleged violations at the District’s Wastewater Treatment Facility. Under the COC, the District will pay a $45,000.00 civil penalty, which will be distributed to the State of Colorado’s Water Quality Improvement Fund. Additionally, the District will complete construction and fully commission a new wastewater treatment facility, which will return the District to compliance with its permit requirements. The COC, filed October 28, 2021, was subject to a 30-day public comment period.
