TCEQ approves fines totaling $280,392 – Penalties assessed against 81 regulated entities

Austin TX (8/14/2019) – The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $198,105 against 19 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: four air quality, one municipal wastewater discharge, three petroleum storage tank, three public water system, and five water quality.

A default order was issued for the following enforcement category: three petroleum storage tanks.

In addition, on Aug. 6 and 13, the executive director approved penalties totaling $82,287 against 62 entities.
