TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $284,963 – Penalties assessed against 48 regulated entities

Austin TX (9/5/2018) – The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $231,123 against 24 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one air quality, one multimedia, one municipal solid waste, one municipal wastewater discharge, four petroleum storage tank, nine public water system, and two water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one Edwards Aquifer, one industrial hazardous waste, one municipal solid waste, one municipal wastewater discharge, and one public water system.

In addition, on Aug. 28, 2018, the executive director approved a total of 24 penalties, totaling $53,840.
