TCEQ approves fines totaling $309,286 – Penalties assessed against 51 regulated entities

Austin TX (9/27/2019) – The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $257,991 against 20 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: four air quality, one municipal wastewater discharge, six petroleum storage tank, two public water system, and one water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: three air quality, one petroleum storage tank, and two public water system.

In addition, on Sept. 17 and 24, the executive director approved penalties totaling $51,295 against 31 entities.
