TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $309,489 – Penalties assessed against 56 regulated entities

Austin TX (10/31/2018) – The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $250,684 against 23 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: seven petroleum storage tank, seven air quality, one industrial hazardous waste, one municipal wastewater discharge, four public water system, one waste disposal wells, and one water quality.

In addition, on Oct. 23, 2018, the executive director approved a total of 33 penalties, totaling $58,805.

Austin TX (10/17/2018) – The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $212,305 against 18 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: two air quality, one Edwards Aquifer, three municipal wastewater discharge, two petroleum storage tank, five public water system, one waste disposal wells, and one water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one landscape irrigator, one municipal solid waste, and one public water system.

In addition, on Oct. 9 and 16, 2018, the executive director approved a total of 27 penalties, totaling $37,379.
