TCEQ approves fines totaling $339,183 – Penalties assessed against 67 regulated entities

 

Austin TX (7/10/2019) – The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $249,568 against 28 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: three air quality, three industrial hazardous waste, two multi-media, six petroleum storage tank, nine public water system, one sludge.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one agriculture, one municipal solid waste, and two petroleum storage tank.

In addition, on July 9, the executive director approved penalties totaling $89,615 against 39 entities.
