TCEQ approves fines totaling $664,395 – Penalties assessed against 75 regulated entities

 

Austin TX (7/31/2019) – The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $542,052 against 29 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: five air quality, three multimedia, five municipal wastewater discharge, four petroleum storage tank, and seven public water system.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one municipal solid waste, one water operator certification, two petroleum storage tank, and one water quality.

In addition, on July 26, the executive director approved penalties totaling $122,343 against 46 entities.
