Toxic Chemical Release Inventory Reporting Workshops – Ann Arbor MI

The SARA Title III Program Toxic Chemical Release Inventory (TRI) Reporting Workshops will be held on May 7, at the Kensington Court in Ann Arbor. The Workshops are a joint effort between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Environmental Quality.

TRI reporting is required under the federal Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act. Facilities that meet the criteria must submit reports for listed toxic chemicals and report releases and waste transfers of the chemicals, as well as waste management activities.

Beginners and those needing a refresher should attend the TRI Novice Reporters Beginners Session. This full-day session is designed for those with little or no knowledge of TRI reporting requirements. It will cover regulation, eligibility criteria, reporting process, and forms completion in detail. Changes for the 2008 report year will be highlighted, and enforcement activities will be discussed.

Those more experienced with TRI reporting can choose to attend the half-day TRI Advanced Reporters Session. This session will cover reporting requirements, reporting process, TRI-MEWEB and Internet submissions, and changes for the 2008 report year.
