Sacramento Ca (7/1/2020)- QualityNLuxury LLC (QualityNLuxury) is a Houston, Texas, based company that manufactures plumbing fittings. QualityNLuxury sold or offered for sale plumbing fittings in California, from March 2016 to December 2019.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation process identified that QualityNLuxury was manufacturing and offering for sale plumbing fittings that failed the marking requirement and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To settle this matter, QualityNLuxury executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on June 29, 2020, for $24,000.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). QualityNLuxury has also agreed to a compliance plan to add the appropriate marking and test and certify all models to MAEDbS if they continue sales in California.
