NJ – September 2006
Recently, we have implemented a new program called the Maritime Security Initiative (MSI). It is basically a community watch program for boaters, waterfront facilities, businesses that cater to those that work and recreate on the water, etc. The program started after Sept. 11th as a way to gain information on possible terrorist activities, but has since expanded into any criminal or suspicious activity. A MSI briefing is attached for further explanation. We are looking to get this information out to as many people as possible. One way is to have a link to the NJSP website on as many web pages as we can. The NJSP Marine Services Bureau’s link is New Jersey State Police Marine Services. We are hoping that you will be able to participate in this important public service by placing this link on your web page.
Besides the briefing, also attached are the MSI logo that is being used for the link, and a sign that we will eventually be handing out to as many private and public entities located on the water. If you would like to see how other companies/organizations have participated with us, please go to the following respective websites, The Bass Barn and/or New Jersey State AFL-CIO . If you could pass this request along to any other appropriate organizations who you are associated with that would be greatly appreciated.
