Colorado – State of Colorado’s WQCD Issues Unilateral Enforcement Order to Renovation Church to Resolve Administrative Permit Violations

Denver, CO (7/14/26) – The State of Colorado’s Water Quality Control Division today issued a Notice of Violation/Cease and Desist Order/Order for Civil Penalty (“NOV/CDO/OCP”) to Renovation Church resolving permit violations alleged in the NOV/CDO/OCP. The NOV/CDO/OCP filed July 14, 2026 alleged that Renovation Church violated discharge permit requirements at Renovation Church’s wastewater treatment facility in Boulder County, Colorado. Specifically, the Division alleged that Renovation Church failed to submit discharge monitoring reports on time, as required by its permit. Under the NOV/CDO/OCP, Renovation Church will pay a $15,000.00 civil penalty, which will be distributed to the State of Colorado’s Water Quality Improvement Fund.
