Denver, CO (5/12/26) – The State of Colorado’s Water Quality Control Division today announced a Compliance Order on Consent (“COC”) with Heron Lakes Investments, LLC resolving permit violations alleged in Notice of Violation/Cease and Desist Order Number SO-240905-1 (“NOV/CDO”). The NOV/CDO filed on September 5, 2024 alleged that Heron Lakes Investments, LLC violated permit requirements under a general permit at its residential development project in Larimer County, Colorado. Under the COC, Heron Lakes Investments, LLC will pay a $165,000.00 civil penalty, which will be distributed to the State of Colorado’s Water Quality Improvement Fund. Heron Lakes Investments, LLC completed all required corrective actions and returned to compliance. The COC, filed May 12, 2026, was subject to a 30-day public comment period.
