DBT Auto Electrical Products Limited Case Settles for $20,000

Sacramento CA (9/11/2018) – From February 2013 to February 2017, DBT Auto Electrical Products Limited (DBT), a DeLand, Florida based company, sold or offered for sale in California certain automotive battery chargers. The Energy Commission alleged that these battery chargers did not meet state energy efficiency standards when they were tested on the maximum battery size recommended in DBT’s product informational materials. DBT alleged that this was attributable to a misprint in its product materials.

DBT agreed to pay the Energy Commission the sum of $20,000.00 in settlement of this matter. Among other things, DBT also agreed to take measures to correct the misprint in its product informational materials.
