Sacramento CA (9/9/2020) – Kingston Brass, Inc. (Kingston Brass) is a Chino, California, based company that manufactures plumbing fittings. Kingston Brass, Inc. sold or offered for sale plumbing fittings in California, from July 2018 to April 2020.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Kingston Brass was manufacturing and offering for sale plumbing fittings that did not meet the efficiency standard.

To settle this matter, Kingston Brass executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on September 3, 2020, for $2,500.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). Kingston Brass has also agreed to a compliance plan to remove the non-compliant models from the California market.
