Sacramento CA (1/19/2023) – Parmir Waters Systems (Parmir) is a San Diego, California based company that manufactures plumbing fittings. Parmir sold or offered for sale lavatory faucets, kitchen faucets and showerheads in California, from August 2018 to August 2022.

This case was the result of an investigation performed by California Energy Commission (CEC) staff. CEC’s investigation and testing process identified that Parmir was manufacturing and offering for sale lavatory faucets, kitchen faucets and showerheads that did not meet the efficiency standard, failed the marking requirement, and were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To settle this matter, Parmir executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on January 19, 2023, for $974.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). Parmir has also agreed to discontinue sales of non-compliant models in California.
