Pulse Showerspas, Inc. Case Settles for $16,000

Sacramento CA (5/10/2018) – PULSE ShowerSpas, Inc. (PULSE) is a Watsonville, CA based company who manufactures and distributes plumbing fittings. From July 2015 to January 2018, PULSE sold or offered for sale various plumbing fittings in California.

This case was a result of a market survey performed by California Energy Commission (Energy Commission) staff. The Energy Commission’s investigation and testing process identified PULSE offering for sale through various retailers plumbing fittings that did not meet the energy efficiency standard, were not marked appropriately, and were not certified to the Appliance Efficiency Database (Database).

To settle this matter, PULSE executed a Settlement Agreement with the Energy Commission on May 10, 2018, for $16,000.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). PULSE has also agreed to a compliance plan to test and certify each model to the Database and add the proper marking before continuing to sell into California.
