State of Colorado’s WQCD Reaches Agreement with Wall Development Group, LLC to Resolve Water Quality Violations

Denver, CO (7/30/2020) – The State of Colorado’s Water Quality Control Division today announced an Expedited Settlement Agreement (“ESA”) with Wall Development Group, LLC resolving construction stormwater violations identified during inspections conducted by the Division on July 16, 2019 and October 3, 2019. The ESA alleges that Wall Development Group, LLC violated the Water Quality Control Act and permit requirements at a commercial development in El Paso County. Specifically, Wall Development Group, LLC did not write a complete stormwater management plan, install and maintain erosion and sediment controls for all areas of ground disturbance, and perform routine stormwater inspections. Under the ESA, Wall Development Group, LLC will pay a $15,563.00 civil penalty, which will be distributed to the State of Colorado’s Water Quality Improvement Fund. Wall Development Group, LLC completed all required corrective actions and returned to compliance. The ESA, executed on July 30, 2020, was subject to a 30-day public comment period.
