9/15/2022 – AC Infinity, Inc. is a City of Industry, California based company that manufactures whole house fans. AC Infinity, Inc. sold or offered for sale whole house fans in California, from April 2018 to May 2022.

This case was the result of a consumer complaint. The California Energy Commission’s (CEC) investigation and testing process identified that AC Infinity, Inc. was manufacturing and offering for sale whole house fans that were not certified to the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDbS).

To settle this matter, AC Infinity, Inc. executed a Settlement Agreement with CEC on September 15, 2022, for $15,141.00. The penalty monies are deposited into the Appliance Efficiency Enforcement Subaccount established by SB 454 of 2011 (Pavley). AC Infinity, Inc. has also agreed to a compliance plan to test and certify all models to MAEDbS before continuing to sell in California.
