State of Colorado’s WQCD Issues Unilateral Enforcement Order to Mountain Constructors, Inc. to Resolve Permit Violations

Denver, CO (08/10/2021) – The State of Colorado’s Water Quality Control Division today announced a Notice of Violation/Cease and Desist Order/Order for Civil Penalty (“NOV/CDO/OCP”) issued to Mountain Constructors, Inc. The NOV/CDO/OCP, filed August 10, 2021 alleged that Mountain Constructors violated permit requirements at two planned construction dewatering projects, one located in Boulder County and one in Weld County. Mountain Constructors is required to pay a $6,500 civil penalty, which will be distributed to the State of Colorado’s Water Quality Improvement Fund.
